These are the incidental scenarios and imagined narratives of inanimate objects played out in the offstage dust and the dark, away from the intense reality of a performance.

The protagonists are the discarded scenery and props who find their own narratives, away from the prying eyes of the live audience.

The action lies in our imaginative response to the unexpected scenes. A miniature ship is suspended in starlit infinity, classical columns are standing sentinel among the detritus of creation, inflatable vessels floating through the air like escaped dreams. These are the leftovers, the secret spaces and the aftermath.

The discarded and overlooked are finding their own play.

This is the unscene.
